The Best Advice About Hiking I’ve Ever Written

Camping Coffee Pot Saves the Day!

Few years back, me and my wife were working for a charter school that follows the traditional 8 to 5 office hours and we need to be there half an hour before and after. Spending 10-hour on the job is more than enough in making it seem to be a stress and challenge to be on; not to mention the obstinate teens, administrator politics and take-home assignments. Well if without my camping coffee pot, then I surely be suffering from ulcer.

This is also the same reason why when I was laid off, I felt to celebrate the freedom I have than having to mourn on the loss of job. Whether you believe it or not, my wife has later submitted her resignation letter few months after mine. And once we got our freedom from this tyranny, that is when we started to realized how much of our lives were taken away. There were people as well as close friends whom we hadn’t get to spend time with for years despite the fact that we were only living on the same part of town.

We’ve come to a decision to put up a business of our own which has given us time and freedom to do whatever we want from spending time with family and friends, have our vacation, enjoy the great outdoors with our camping coffee pot and many more. From this very moment, that’s when we began to brainstorm for new business ideas.

The difference about working for someone else and working for yourself is the fact that you need to work twice as hard. This is true particularly when you are just starting out. The first few months we are doing the business, our workdays are even stretched to 12-hours a day and at times, it goes beyond it. We’re just lucky to have our camping coffee pot which gives us the energy we need when our body is almost ready to give up. When we were not at the shop, we were glued to our laptops, trying to reach out to vendors, schedule class and spread the word out on social media.

Not before long, we realized that we’d gone 3 years almost without taking a vacation. Back then, we used to take road trips every year but these days, we consider ourselves lucky to drive a couple of hours to visit our family. Once, we were avid campers equipped with state-of-the-art camp stoves and camping coffee pot. On our available time, work seems to haunt us; a consequence of not putting up boundaries between work and personal time. So, while using our camping coffee pot we have decided to take actions of it.
